On the right bank of the river Rhône, 50 km south of Lyon is Chavanay where the Domaine Verzier produces their great wines at the top of the hillsides overlooking the small village. In this picturesque environment savoury „pepperish“ reds from Syrah grapes with a strong dark fruit character are being made.
